KACST Permanent Exhibition – Interior Design

An innovative interior design for Saudi Arabia’s flagship science and technology exhibition. This immersive, multi-zoned environment integrates Salmani architectural identity, cutting-edge interactive experiences, and a strong alignment with Vision 2030’s aspirations for innovation, youth empowerment, and global engagement.

Project Info

The permanent interior exhibition at KACST is a groundbreaking space designed to showcase Saudi Arabia’s scientific and technological advancements in an immersive, interactive format. It is a national destination that merges architectural excellence with educational content.

Inspired by global science museums, the interior features a network of zones including holographic displays, motion-sensitive installations, smart cubes, robotic arms, and VR rooms. The visitor journey is carefully choreographed to move between knowledge, inspiration, and engagement – with a heavy focus on youth and academic integration.

The exhibition design is both futuristic and rooted in cultural identity, following the principles of Salmani architecture in form, materiality, and spatial experience. Flexibility, adaptability, and sustainability guided every aspect of the concept to ensure lasting impact.
